Another Busy Week!

Hi Everyone!

The bakery is very busy this week, as we mark the official start of Wedding Season. We have two beautiful weddings to create this week, and a couple of celebration cakes! We will also be at the Southern Bridal Show & Expo at the Fairgrounds! (http://www.foreverbridal.net/) We hope to see you there! (we will be on the side to the right..come try some cake!)

Next week, we have a cake with a bride and groom cake topper made out of gum paste. Lorie did a mock up of it in sculpty first to see how she wanted to create it in the final version and it turned out pretty cool! Will Post a photo later.

We received a phone call yesterday from someone asking for a cake and was surprised to hear we were a at home bakery. Did you know that some of the best bakeries in town (including award winning bakeries) are home based? We are lucky to live in a state that allows this. We are fully licensed, and inspected just like the "commerical" bakeries. The only difference is we don't pay high rent, you don't have to look for parking, and you get lower prices, more home made taste, (no big huge bats of cake batter and frozen buttercream!) and you get very personal service. That is why we continue to work from home, as we want to continue to offer you this kind of service!

It is Wednesday and that means baking day! So I am off to the back kitchen to do some baking and making gum paste bows. You all have a great day and thank you for reading! I always love to hear from everyone!
